Remember how cool it was in the olden days (for me that would be the 1960's, but for a lot of you... the 70's, 80's and maybe the 90's can suffice)... when you could go down to the local
"convenience" store:
7-11, Kwik Shop, Starvin' Marvin, Quik-Trip, Casey's, Towne & Country, or whatever chain was fixed in your town or city, and buy funny/horror themed stickers, cards, pin-back buttons, and other bubble-gum type Halloween toys and ephemera? In fact, I'm heading out in the next day or so to make a "run" through all my area convenience stores (as well as Walgreen's) to check and see what they might have this year that "sorta" fits what I'm talking about.
But in the meantime, check out (below) some really nifty
HORROR stickers that my friend ( and
OFFICIAL tROAD Countdown to Halloween 2011 ARTIST - - Shane Jones, sent me! thanks again Mr. J)

I love
Shane's "take" on skulls and skeletons! I think the guy in the bottom right is maybe
Glenn Danzig, or at least a
Misfits "kind" of rocker.

Above we've got
Mr. Hyde, a
gorilla, and
skeletons!!!! so-groovy..... I'll growl and grrr for that too!
These stickers would be nice to handout with the candy-candy-candy to the kiddies-kiddies-kiddies!
ReplyDeleteNO bleepin' frippin' furblushing WAY man!!!!! These stickers are "keep sakes" from the Michelangelo of Wales!!!!! Besides, the little buggers wouldn't know real cool monstuh stuff if it bit 'em in the behind. Sparkly glittery Twilight twits!!! ha-rumph!
ReplyDeleteWooooh there big fella - I didn't mean you give up your stickers. It would be a good thing if you could buy sheets of his stickers to hand out with the candy-candy-candy. No one is going to touch your stickers...
ReplyDeleteNO BODY BETTER LAY A FINGER ON MY BUTTERFIN------
